Sabrina D’Angelo won her first FA Women’s League Cup with her new team Arsenal FC in London, England. D’Angelo featured in both the League Cup Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals, but missed the Sunday 5 March Final through injury when Arsenal FC won 3:1 over rivals Chelsea FC. This marks their sixth FA Women’s League Cup title since 2011.

It also marked the third consecutive year in a row that a Canadian won the FA Women’s League Cup. Jessie Fleming helped Chelsea FC win the FA Women’s League Cup in 2021 while Janine Beckie helped Manchester City FC win the FA Women’s League Cup in 2022. D’Angelo is in her first season with Arsenal FC after she transferred to the London-based club in January 2023.

Arsenal FC have won 59 trophies since they were founded in 1987: one UEFA Women’s Cup; three FA Women’s Super League titles and 12 FA Women’s Premier League titles;  14 FA Women’s Cups; 10 FA Women’s Premier League Cups and six FA League Cups; 5 FA Women’s Community Shields; and 10 London County FA Women’s Cups.

D’Angelo from Welland, Ontario has made 18 international “A” appearances for Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team since 2016. She was 14 years old when she made her debut in the Canadian youth program in 2007 and 23 years old when she played her first international “A” match on 4 March 2016.
