John Ronald Gawryluk... he was married to his wife Anne Ross... he was 25 years old when he passed away in Winnipeg on 12 January 1965 at Misericordia Hospital after a lengthy illness (he was later buried at Brookside cemetery)... worked as a school teacher... in 1965, Winnipeg ANAF Scottish held a moment of silence in remembrance of John Gawryluk and George Neubert on 8 May before the season opener at Alexander Park...

represented Canada on the four-week tour to the Soviet Union and United Kingdom in 1960 with Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team...
