RECAP: Day 4 at the 2018 U-17 Cup in Surrey, BC

Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia teams have qualified for U-17 Cup Semi-Final matches at the 2018 Toyota National Championships. In Girls U-17 Cup Semi-Finals, Coastal FC will face Burlington Bayhawks SC and Lakeshore SC will face Suburban FC for a chance to play in the Gold Medal match on Teck Finals Day 8 October. Surrey United SC and CS Saint-Laurent, and Coquitlam Metro-Ford and Vaughan SC make up the Semi-Finals in the Boys U-17 Cup.

 

2018 Boys U-17 Cup

Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec earned their place in the Semi-Final round. New Brunswick and Nova Scotia earned three points in the seeding round.


PEI FC (PE) 1:3 (NS) Suburban FC

Liam Kelly, Alec Macdougall, Noah Lahey, scored for Nova Scotia. Reid Peardon scored for Prince Edward Island.

Moncton Codiac SC (NB) 6:0 (NT) Yellowknife Bay SC

Ethan Druart, Maxime-Olivier Dako, Jason Cho, Tate O’Reilly, and Abraham Lavin scored for New Brunswick. Mazen Daher had an own goal.

CS Saint-Laurent (QC) 2:0 Feildians AA St. John's (NL)

Mahdi Abbassi and Matis Leville scored for Quebec.

Vaughan SC (ON) 3:1 Calgary Foothills FC (AB)

Ontario defeated Alberta 3:1. Kadiebue Kadiebue scored all three for Vaughan SC. Charles Tchouya-Nana scored for Alberta.

Winnipeg Bonivital SC (MB) 1:3 Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC (BC)

Coquitlam's Ethan Gaddu, Christian Comuzzi, and Trey Ference scored for British Columbia. Ilyich Gharahmadani got the goal for Mantioba

Surrey United SC (BC) 1:0 Saskatoon Selects (SK)

British Columbia defeated Saskatchewan 1:0. Nico Pietramala scored the winner for Surrey United.

 

2018 Girls U-17 Cup

Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia earned their place in the Semi-Final. New Brunswick and British Columbia earned three points in the seeding round.

 
FC Regina (SK) 1:3 (BC) Surrey United SC

British Columbia defeated Saskatchewan 3:1. Grace Wilkinson, Maddie Melnychuk, and Rylee Mugridge scored for Surrey United. Olivia Gables scored for FC Regina.

Fredericton DSA (NB) 3:0 (NT) Yellowknife Bay SC

Amanda Mcnally scored two and Melina Johnstone-Cantin had the other for New Brunswick.

Lakeshore SC (QC) 3:0 (MB) Winnipeg FC Northwest

Latifah Abdu, Lara Kazandijan, and Wayny-Natasha Balata Nguenign scored for Lakeshore SC.

Coastal FC (BC) 2:0 (NL) St. John's SC

Gracie Quesnelle and Vanessa Tome scored for British Columbia.

Burlington Bayhawks (ON) 3:0 (AB) Sherwood Park Phoenix

Ontario defeated Alberta 3:0.  Amanda West scored two, and Jordan Faveri got the other goal for Burlington Bayhawks.

Suburban FC (NS) 8:0 (PE) PEI FC

Olivia Crowe scored three, Madlyn Blinn, Caroline Tweel, Grace Longley, Emily Lush, Rachael Manning scored for Suburban FC.
