Robert Bolitho... both of his parents were born in Cornwall, ENG... worked for City of Victoria Parks Department for three years before moving to Toronto in 1974 to join Canada Soccer’s national team “in being”... in 1976, he worked as a “employee of the Victoria BC parks department” when he selected to play for Canada at the Olympic Games...

in 2011, his team the 1974-75 Victoria London Boxing Club was honoured by the Victoria Sports Hall of Fame in the team category...

wrote historian Colin Jose, Bob Bolitho “played a defensive midfield role in the early days... before settling down at right back”... wrote the Vancouver Whitecaps in 1977, “a strong-tackling, energetic player”... wrote the Vancouver Whitecaps in 1979, “certainly the most underrated North American and overall one of the most unnoticed defensive stars in the league”...
