Alexander Noble Hall... he was 20 years old when he moved to Canada in 1901... returned to the United Kingdom in 1905; returned back to Toronto, Canada in 1923... he was 62 years old when he passed away on 25 September 1943 in Toronto... in Peterhead in 1912, rescued a five-year old boy (Alick McKenzie) from potential drowning at the seawall off the Smith Embarkment (he was awarded both the Carnegie Hero Fund award and the Royal Humane Society award)... served in the British Army in the Great War... worked at the Toronto Incinerator...

wrote the Montréal Gazette, “he is a scientific player and uses his head to great advantage; is a splendid shot and very fast on the ball; is feared by every defence has has played against; he is worth his place on any team in America”...
