Shona Schleppe... she was nine years old when she started playing soccer..

honoured by the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame... honoured in 2010 as part of Alberta Soccer’s Centennial Recognition of the Top Female Players...

won a Concacaf silver medal with Canada (1991)… made two international “A” appearances in 1991 with Canada Soccer's Women's National Team…

with Edmonton Angels SC, a two-time Canada Soccer National Championships winner (1982 and 1983)...

said Stuart Brown in 1983, “being a winger, the speed has a lot to do with Shona Schleppe’s success. Her skill level is of equally high calibre. She has good shooting ability and is one of the top three or four goalscorers on the team”... said Schleppe in 1991, “for sure I’m still classified as a rookie (with Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team), I still get the rookie duties on the trips, but experience-wise I have 49 caps with the field hockey team”...
