Posted on 12 October 2019 in National Championships

British Columbia’s Surrey Central City Breakers and Ontario’s Ottawa St. Anthony sit atop their respective Challenge Trophy groups at nine points after each secured three straight victories at the 2019 Toyota National Championships.

Meanwhile, Ontario marched on at the U-17 Cup in Charlottetown, with both the Ottawa TFC Academy and Woodbridge SC winning their third games of the tournament on a pleasant fall day in Charlottetown. It was also a good day for Quebec, as St Laurent defeated PEI FC to move to the top of Boys’ U-17 Cup Group A, while Lakeshore sit atop the Girls’ U-17 Cup Group B standings following a 5:0 win over Regina Bluestars.

After two games each, Ontario, Alberta, BC, Manitoba and Quebec have all earned full points to top their respective groups and move into the U-15 Cup championship round on day four. Four teams from the Boys and Girls side of the draw will move into the consolation round to play for ninth place.
