“Honduras is a team that is very dangerous on the transition,” said coach Dale Mitchell. “The Hondurans break quickly, they have a lot of speed, and a lot of quality. You have to be able to defend and you have to be able to deal with it for 90 minutes.”

Canada has been training in Sunrise, FL since Monday of this week. The team has had training sessions each morning and will fly to Honduras on Thursday evening after its fourth session at the Holiday Inn Sunrise. Coach Mitchell says that the sessions have all been positive.

After three matches, Canada is in third place in Group 2 with one point, trailing Honduras (six points) and Mexico (nine points). Canada needs a big win against Honduras to gain ground in the standings. Only the top-two teams will advance after six matches.
