For the Monday Final, coach Martin Andersen featured Chris Ezoua in goal, Francesco Guido at right back, Luke Withers and Joel Martins-Correia at centre back, Eric Gehlert at left back, Morgan Graham, Thomas Hope and Ajay Khabra at midfield, and Prince Amara, Ibrahim Jetishi and Garry Onyejelem up front. This marks the first time that Edmonton Green & Gold have beaten Edmonton Scottish SC in the Alberta Cup final. They beat Calgary Dinosaurs for the 2005 title and Calgary Callies for the 2011 final. Edmonton Green & Gold previously lost the 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2019 Alberta Cup finals to Edmonton Scottish SC and the 2008, 2009 and 2017 Alberta Cup finals to Calgary Callies.

This year will also mark Edmonton Green & Gold’s fifth trip to the Toyota National Championships (2005, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2022). They were national runners up in 2005 at Calgary’s Broadview Park after a 3:2 loss to Scarborough GS United.
