Canada trained today at the University of South Florida near Tampa, FL in preparation for its second CONCACAF Gold Cup group stage match against Guadeloupe on Saturday (18.00 local kick-off).

The match will be televised on Rogers Sportsnet One (18.00 ET / 15.00 PT), as well as available online at GoldCup.org.

The Canadian team enjoyed an invigourated training session this morning in Florida and the team is looking forward to putting the tournament-opening loss to the USA behind them when they take on Guadeloupe at Raymond James Stadium.

“There was a lot of good stuff despite the end result,” Simeon Jackson stated. “We have to put that game behind us now and focus on the next one.

“We need to continue moving forward. It will come.”

Veteran midfielder Atiba Hutchinson is adamant that increased self-belief is one of the keys to Canada’s success on Saturday.

“We just want to be more organized and confident on the ball and make the right decisions when we get into the final third of the pitch,” Hutchinson said.

Canada will train at Raymond James Stadium on Friday ahead of the match on 11 June.
