In all female competitions, Canada has never faced Uruguay or Ecuador. Against Jamaica, Canada’s senior team has won all five matchups, including the 2006 CONCACAF Gold Cup semi-final which clinched Canada’s place in the FIFA Women’s World Cup China 2007. Against Brasil, Canada has three wins in five matches at the senior level.

At the last Pan American Games in 2003, Canada won a silver medal after a 1:2 loss on a golden goal to Brasil.

Canada is currently on the road to the FIFA Women’s World Cup China 2007. The tournament takes place 10-30 September in Wuhan, Chengdu, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Tianjin. In the June 2007 FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings, Canada was ranked ninth in the world.
