Morace elected to CONCACAF Executive Committee

Canadian Women's National Team Head Coach Carolina Morace has been elected to the CONCACAF Executive Committee.

CONCACAF president Jack Warner has stated that Morace will represent ‘the interests of women's football' in her position on the confederation's most senior committee.

News of her election was announced at CONCACAF's 27th Ordinary Congress in Miami.

Morace has enjoyed a successful run as Head Coach of the Women's National Team since joining the programme in 2009.

Under her leadership the team has won the 2010 CONCACAF Women's Championship as well as the 2011 Cyprus Women's Cup. Morace will also lead the Canadian team into the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup™ beginning 26 June in Germany.

CONCACAF is the continental governing body for the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football.
