Host Newfoundland & Labrador remains in the hunt at Jubilee Trophy in St. John's

Newfoundland & Labrador’s Feildians remain in the hunt for a medal at the Jubilee Trophy competition, but they will need a little help from Holy Cross. Feildians are tied with Alberta on four points each and will face off on Saturday. Ontario has two points and are scheduled to play Holy Cross women at noon Saturday in Mount Pearl.
In the battle of NL, NL2 Feildians defeated provincial champions Holy Cross women. Both goals were scored by Zoe Rowe (9’, 54’).
The teams battled to a 2:2 draw. Suekiana (14’, 85’) put Albert ahead early in the first half and closed out the second half with an equalizer. Scarborough’ Cassandra Sribny (18’) and Meghan Mckye (78’) ensured Ontario earned a point.
Emily Wilson with the shutout for BC who got goals from Courtney Sheppard (10’) early in the first half and Megan Webster (81’) late in the second.
Group B- Quebec Royal Select Beauport (QC) 2:0 (MB) Northwest Winnipeg
Joelle Morasse earned her second shutout of the tournament for Quebec. Karyna Fiset (50’) scored early in the second half and an own goal by Manitoba’s Katherine Gursky (67‘) sealed it for Royal Select Beauport.
