Canada Soccer Governance Updates
CANADA SOCCER CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The Nominations Committee of the Canada Soccer Board of Directors calls for nominations for the positions of President (for a four-year term), as well as Director (elected) and Director (independent) for three-year terms commencing after the 2020 Annual Meeting of the Members.
The Committee is seeking qualified candidates to play a role in the stewardship of an organization that reflects values such as engagement, transparency, accountability, and other attributes representing leading-edge governance.
The current call for nominations is for the following Board positions:
- President (four-year term)
- 2 elected Directors (three-year term)
- one (1) from Manitoba/Saskatchewan/Nunavut
- one (1) from Ontario
- 2 independent Directors (three-year term)
The deadline for the receipt of nominations is 16h00 pm ET on Friday, January 31st, 2020.
CANADA SOCCER COMPETITIONS COMMITTEE
Canada Soccer is seeking three (3) qualified candidates to serve on its Competitions Committee commencing March 2020.
The Canada Soccer Competitions Committee is not a representative committee. It is populated from a mixture of volunteers, who have an extensive background in organizing competitions at the Provincial/Territorial level or higher, an invited member of the competition staff from a Provincial or Territorial Association, an invited specialist in municipal event hosting, and functional area representation from Canada Soccer.
The deadline for the receipt of nominations is Friday, January 31st, 2020.
