Ottawa, Ontario – Canada's Women's Under-19 Team suffered a 3-0 loss to China yesterday at Elizabeth K. Meyer Park in Houston, Texas during the 3rd Annual adidas Cup. This match marks the squad's first international match under the direction of head coach Ian Bridge.

Both teams remained scoreless in the first half until China came on strong scoring three goals in the second half. Scoring all three goals for China was Han Duan.

“With the exception of a lack of focus for five minutes in the second half, the Canadian team played quite well against a very talented Chinese team in very hot and humid conditions,” stated Bridge.

Canada's next game is on May 31 at 6:00 p.m. against Japan.
