Canada Soccer values the safety of its players, coaches, officials, staff and fans as its highest priority. As the national governing body for the sport of soccer in the country, we have been and will continue to closely monitor all COVID-19 developments in consultation with the Public Health Agency of Canada and relevant governing bodies through the Canada Soccer Sport Medicine Committee.
Decisions on all ongoing and future Canada Soccer activity will be made based on the best available information and may include cancellation or postponement. We remain committed to continually updating our membership and stakeholders for all Canada Soccer activity that is impacted by the ongoing uncertainty of the unprecedented and dynamic COVID-19 situation as information from the relevant governing bodies and public health agencies becomes available.
Canada Soccer encourages all clubs to seek guidance from their Provincial and Territorial Member Associations as well as local health departments before making decisions regarding games and training sessions and other team activities to ensure the safety and well-being of all stakeholders. In addition, all updated information available through the relevant governing bodies and public health agencies including best practices on prevention have been shared with our Provincial and Territorial Member Associations.
