Canada Drops Jamaica 2-1

Canada's Women's Under-19 Team today defeated Jamaica 2-1 during an exhibition match in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Canada is currently in Florida for a four-day training camp and a round-robin tournament at the Sunrise Hilton Hotel. Canada wraps up the training camp tomorrow with a match against the United States at 12:00 p.m. (ET).

Fresh off scoring six goals in seven games with the Women's World Cup Team, Kara Lang joined the Under-19 squad and quickly scored two more goals against Jamaica. Both Amy Vermuelen and Sasha Andrews earned a caution during the match and Myriam Gousse, Christina Kahlina, Michelle Rowe, Clare Rustad, and Brittany Timko made their first appearance with the Under-19 squad.

In other round-robin action, the United States easily defeated Jamaica 12-0 on Friday, April 12.
