Canada Defeats Brazil 2-0

Canada's Women's Under-19 Team completed their warm up games for the upcoming FIFA U19 Women's World Championship in fine style by posting a 2-0 win over Brazil at Calgary's Foothills Stadium, Sunday. It was Canada's ninth straight win of The Canada Road To The World Championship series. The Canadians now return to Edmonton to prepare for their opening game of the tournament at Commonwealth Stadium on August 18 against Denmark.

Katie Thorlakson opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before Amy Vermeulen doubled Canada's advantage in the 59th minute. Erin McLeod posted the shutout.
