2013 All Stars: Ontario scores one on Alberta to win U-16 Boys

From the very start, Ontario set the pace against Alberta in this final match of the

2013 U-16 Boys All Stars

. Sameer Fathe scored in the 2nd minute of the game as Ontario kept that lead until the very end. The final score for this Gold medal game stayed at 1:0 for Ontario.

A massive crowd of Quebec supporters sat in the bleachers of field 2 at Bois de Boulogne in Laval to cheer on their team while they played British Columbia for the Bronze. Quebec proved that they could win this match by scoring in the second minute of play and keeping that advantage through the first half. Coming back from half time, Giuseppe Lipari scored in the 58th minute and secured the medal for his team. This is Quebec`s only win of this tournament but it was enough for the squad to secure a Bronze medal.

Atlantic and Manitoba/Saskatchewan played for 5th place with a lot of heart in a high scoring game. Atlantic scored from a long ball which Adam Grewe ran between two defenders and put the ball in the back left corner. The score was 1-1 at the 35th minutes until Hunter Vaszily scored his second goal in added time right before the whistle, sending the teams in for half-time to a score of 2-1 for Atlantic. At the start of the second half, Andre Baires scored and equalized the game at 2-2. With four minutes left in the game Hunter Vaszily scored once again, his third of the match, securing a 3:2 win for his team.
