Saskatchewan’s Eastside Vortex captures U-18 girls title over Alberta’s Victoria

Saskatchewan’s Erica Hindmarsh not only captured the top scorer award on Monday at the U-18 Girls National Club Championships, she also provided her Eastside Vortex side with a national championship title over Alberta’s Victoria.
Saskatchewan’s Hindmarsh scored at the 16th minute, and the Eastside Vortex would manage to hold off Victoria to secure the 1:0 championship win. It also marks the first U-18 Cup title for Saskatchewan in the history of the tournament.
Ontario’s Richmond Hill Raiders battled Quebec’s Lanaudiere-Centre to a 1:0 win to capture the bronze. Cassandra Sribny scored for the Ontario side.
