Two Ontario teams headed into the finals at the 2011 National Championships in Lethbridge, AB; both concluded the tournament with a championship title on Monday 10 October. Erin Mills Eagles won 4:0 over Longueuil (Québec) in the boys final while the Erin Mills Mighty Eagles won 7:0 over St. John's (Newfoundland Labrador) in the girls final.

The finals are set to be played after a busy day in the 2011 National Championships U-16 Cup in Lethbridge, AB. On both the boys and girls sides, Erin Mills will represent Ontario in a chance to win gold. Their opponents are Longueuil (Québec) on the boys side and St. John's SC (Newfoundland Labrador) on the girls side. More

Not only did the stormy weather challenge the players on Thursday in Lethbridge, but it forced the 2011 National Championships U-16 Cup Local Organizing Committee to make some changes to the competition schedule (see below). The university's natural field could not withstand the rain and was thus rendered unplayable, forcing the move to the stadium artificial turf. More

The 2011 Canadian Soccer Association National Championships - U-16 Boys and U-16 Girls - will be played 5-10 October in Lethbridge, AB. On the boys side, the 10 teams have been divided into two groups; there are 20 group matches and five classification matches. Ontario clubs enjoyed a very good week on home soil at the U-16 Cups at the 2010 BMO National Championships in Vaughan, ON. Ajax Strikers defeated Manitoba's Northwest Lions 3:1 in the boys final while Pickering Power Green roared to a 4:1 victory over Monteuil Extreme of Québec in the girls final in matches played on Monday 11 October. More
