Québec U-16 wins Fred Jopson Trophy

The lone goal from Yacine Ait-Slimane was the winner in Québec's 1:0 victory for the Fred Jopson Trophy at the 2011 Nutrilite All Stars U-16 Boys in Mount Pearl, NL. Ait-Slimane scored 17 minutes into the first half and the full XI did the rest to hold Ontario scoreless for 70 full minutes of play. It marked Québec's second-straight victory at the national U-16 level and its eighth Jopson Trophy victory in 17 years. More

The two finals will be played at 11.00 (local kickoff), with the U-16 Boys final set for Smallwood Park in Mount Pearl and the U-15 Boys final set for King George V Park in St. John's, NL. More

A Charles Joly hat trick led Québec to a 3:0 victory and a spot in the 2011 Nutrilite All Stars U-16 Boys final. Québec's first-place finish in Group A means it will face Ontario in the Fred Jopson Trophy final in Mount Pearl, NL. The final kicks off at 11.00 on Saturday 23 July at Smallwood Park. More
Hamilton brace wins U-16 match for Ontario

A Jordan Hamilton brace in the second half gave Ontario U-16 a come-from-behind 3:2 victory over group opponent Sask-toba on Day 2 of the 2011 Nutrilite All Stars in Mount Pearl and St. John's, NL. Ontario fell behind early in the second half and could have fallen apart, but the Hamilton equaliser put Ontario back on target for its second-straight victory. The winning goal in the 56th minute helped Ontario clinch Group B to ensure a place in the Saturday final. More

All 12 rosters for the 2011 National Championships Nutrilite All Stars have been submitted for the U-16 and U-15 boys competitions. The competition runs 19-23 July in St. John's and Mount Pearl, NL, with six teams in each competition. In all, 215 players were registered for the 2011 Nutrilite All Stars Boys: 107 at the U-16 level and 108 at the U-15 level. More

Québec has won the Fred Jopson Trophy at the 2010 BMO National Championships Nutrilite All Stars U-16 Boys competition in Sherbrooke, QC. Québec finished first in its group with a perfect record of four wins, no draws and no losses, including a 2:0 victory over Ontario on the final day of the competition. More
