CONCACAF champion Jeff Clarke is part of the coaching fraternity at this year's 2011 National Championships. Clarke is again in charge of Surrey United, the British Columbia senior women's representative in the Jubilee Trophy competition. The Canadian Soccer Association has released the schedule for the 2010 BMO National Championships to be played this October in Charlottetown, PE, Mount Peal, NL, Vaughan, ON and Moncton, NB. The eight club competitions will be played this 6-11 October: senior men’s (Challenge Trophy) and senior women’s (Jubilee Trophy) in Charlottetown, U-18 men and women in Mount Pearl, U-16 boys and girls in Vaughan, and U-14 boys and girls in Moncton. Halifax City's women's soccer club is preparing for its defence of the Jubilee Trophy at next week's 2009 BMO National Championships in Saskatoon, SK. Halifax City opens the five-day tournament against provincial rival Halifax Dunbrack, the very club that defeated the reigning national champions in the 2009 provincial final.
"We did manage to win the league, but then we lost quite a few players before the provincial final," said Halifax City coach Carl Hayre. "Dunbrack, however, played well and deserved to win." More

The annual senior men's national competition runs this 7-12 October in Saskatoon, SK. The men's matches will take place at Sasktel Soccer Centre and Umea Soccer Field in conjunction with the women's Jubilee Trophy competition matches.
It is a tremendous achievement to represent your province or territory at the BMO National Club Championships, said Canadian Soccer Association President Dr. Dominic Maestracci. They are all accomplished athletes, coaches, and referees. In addition to competing and officiating at an elite level, they commit to excellence and embody the ideals of fair play, integrity, and sportsmanship.

Saskatoon officially kicked off its countdown to the 2009 BMO National Championships with a press conference at the SaskTel Sports Centre. The Local Organising Committee along with the Saskatchewan Soccer Association, BMO Financial Group and members of Saskatoon's Huskie Alumni were on hand to meet the media in advance of this October's Challenge Trophy (men) and Jubilee Trophy (women) competitions. This year's BMO National Championships run 7-12 October.
Dena Clark from the Local Organising Committee introduced both Jeannette Kuc, president of the Saskatchewan Soccer Association, and Tracey Maclean from BMO Financial Group. Members of Huskie Alumni were introduced by Saskatchewan Premier Soccer League manager Astrid Baecker. More

Saskatoon could very well be the site of Canadian soccer history next year should the Calgary Callies orchestrate a record third-straight Challenge Trophy victory. The central Saskatchewan city is the host to next year's BMO National Championships senior club competitions both the Challenge Trophy (men) and the Jubilee Trophy (women). Calgary is a two-time defending Challenge Trophy champion while Halifax City is the defending Jubilee Trophy champion.
The 2009 BMO National Championships feature the Boys and Girls All Stars from 21-26 July and the Club Championships from 7-12 October. Richmond, BC will host the U-14/U-16 Boys All Stars while Laval, QC will host the U-14/U-16 Girls All Stars. At the youth club level, Sydney, NS will host the U-14 Cup, Winnipeg, MB will host the adidas U-16 Cup, and Alberta (city yet to be named) will host the Sony U-18 Cup. Alberta will also host the Western Masters and Classics while the host to the Eastern Masters will be named at a later date. More

Surrey United Selects 92 and Lac St-Louis Lakers have struck gold at the 2008 BMO National Championships in Sydney, NS. British Columbia's Surrey United Selects 92 won the U-16 adidas Cup in the boys competition after a 2:1 victory over Alberta's KC Trojans. Québec's Lac St-Louis Lakers, meanwhile, won the U-16 adidas Cup in the girls competition after a 1:0 victory over Nova Scotia's Halifax County United.
In the group phase, both the Surrey United Selects 92 and KC Trojans posted a perfect 3-0-0 record. They avoided each other in the semi final, with the British Columbia club winning 4:0 over Ontario's Hearts Azzurri 92. Steven Fronzo, Coulton Jackson, Gagan Josan and Evan Lowther scored for the Surrey United Selects 92. In the other semi final, the Alberta club won 1:0 over Manitoba's Portage Trail Icebergs. KC Trojans' Andy Huley scored the lone goal. More
