Canada Soccer unveils roster for the 2024 Concacaf Futsal Championship

Canada Soccer announced today the 14 players led by Head Coach Kyt Selaidopoulos that will represent Canada at the 2024 Concacaf Futsal Championship in Managua, Nicaragua. The tournament also serves as qualifying for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan scheduled in September.

Canada will compete in Group B, where they will face the Championship hosts Nicaragua, Cuba and Panama. The team will begin the group stage against Cuba on Saturday 13 April (17.00 CT/ 18.00 ET/15.00 PT), followed by Panama on Sunday 14 April (17.00 CT/ 18.00 ET/15.00 PT), and Nicaragua on Monday 15 April (19.00 CT/ 20.00 ET/17.00 PT).

Following group-stage play, the top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stage comprising the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, a Third-Place Match, and the Championship match. The top four teams of the tournament will qualify as the Concacaf representatives for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024™.

In their previous appearance at the 2021 Concacaf Futsal Championship; Canada was eliminated in the Quarterfinal round of the competition on penalties following a 1(4)-1(3) loss to Panama. United States, Guatemala, and Panama, qualified for the FIFA Futsal World Cup with Costa Rica winning their third consecutive Concacaf Futsal Championship.

Canada will be making their fourth appearance (2012, 2016, 2021) at the quadrennial continental Futsal Championship and will look to secure their second-ever appearance at the FIFA Futsal World Cup.
