Canadian Soccer Association Announces Call For Nominations for the Board of Directors

The Nominations Committee of the Canadian Soccer Association is pleased to invite applications for nominations for the Board of Directors and President of the Association, to be elected and appointed in spring 2012. Please click on the Call For Nominations file below for further details. To lodge your application, an appropriate application form below must be fully completed and sent to the Chair of the Nominations Committee at nominations@soccercan.ca by the application deadline indicated. For further information about the Canadian Soccer Association’s strategic direction, new governance reforms and role/responsibilities of the Board of Directors and its Committees, please consult the documents also provided below.

 

Election process at the 2012 Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Soccer Association

In the last two years, the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) has been engaged in a process of organizational renewal, focusing specifically on its governance structures. The CSA membership has agreed that the CSA will have a governing board, which will be reduced in size to 14 members, including an elected President and Vice-President, six (6) elected Directors, and six (6) appointed Directors. The CSA’s 2012 Annual General Meeting (AGM), to be held May 5, will mark the implementation of this new governing structure.

Request for names of individuals interested in serving on the Nominations Committee of the Canadian Soccer Asociation

The Canadian Soccer Association is looking for individuals to serve on the Nominations Committee who can demonstrate that they have professional, personal or other contacts with the corporate, business, soccer, and/or other relevant communities to deliver a group of Board candidates who have the collective capacity to further the mission and goals of the CSA in the 21st century.
