Midway through their July 2012 European camp, Canada won 3:0 over Italy in a Women's U-20 International Friendly match in Gravellona, Italy. Jenna Richardson scored a pair of goals before Christine Exeter added Canada's third goal in the away victory.

"It has been a really good camp so far," said Canadian U-20 coach Andrew Olivieri. "We made good progress in Montréal, but now we have increased our intensity up a level here in Europe. I couldn't be more satisfied so far."

Canada's women's U-20 camp runs 9-21 July in Europe, with matches against Italy (the 3:0 win on 14 July) and Switzerland (in Buochs, Switzerland on 20 July). With 20 players in camp, coach Olivieri managed to feature 17 different players in the match against Italy. Goal scorer Richardson was selected player of the match.
