We're getting ready for Uruguay, said Head Coach Sean Fleming.
We know they have certain tendencies and things that they like to do. We are trying to get ourselves organized and sharp in what we want to do.
Canada has enjoyed a productive training camp in Pachuca, the city where the team will play all three of its group matches.
The players are now eagerly awaiting the kick-off of their FIFA World Cup campaign on Sunday.
As we get closer to the whistle, tension is there, said goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau. We just have to be disciplined and stick to the game plan and everything will be good for the first game.
Canada is taking part in its fifth FIFA U-17 World Cup. The team qualified for the tournament by making it all the way to the finals at the 2011 CONCACAF U-17 Championships in Jamaica.
